One Step Clean-Up
Incubating diluted whole blood with the PCRopsis substrate efficiently removes PCR inhibitors and allows for the amplification of DNA.
GAPDH is able to be amplified by PCR in the presence of higher volumes of whole blood when the samples is "pre-cleaned" through incubation of the sample with our PCRopsis substrate. PBS + genomic DNA was used as a control.

Real-time PCR results show that GAPDH is only amplified from whole blood or plasma spiked with genomic DNA when the sample is pre-incubated with the PCRopsis Blood. Real-time PCR utilized 1 μL of whole blood or plasma pre-incubated with or without the PCRopsis Blood. Real-time PCR used a GAPDH specific TaqMan probe for detection of the GAPDH amplified fragment.
