Genurine™ is intended to identify real and fake / synthetic urine samples without the need for equipment. Genurine™ is not intended to diagnose people or animals, and no diagnostic claims are to be derived.

Protocol

Confirming whether a sample is real urine:

1. Dispense 600 µL Genurine™ from working stock bottle to 4 mL glass vial
2. Add 150 µL unknown test sample to the Genurine™ in the glass vial prepared above
3. Place the cap on the glass vial, tighten the cap and briefly shake the mixture.
4. Let the mixture sit for 20~60 seconds and observe the vial for the presence or absence of precipitate on the walls of the glass vial 
   1. Precipitate on the walls of the glass vial indicates the test sample is real urine (i.e., not fake / synthetic urine)

Limitations of the Procedure

The Genurine™ might not correctly identify a urine sample as real or fake when its diluted with water more than 100%. This can be easily and quickly determined by looking at the color of the urine sample and/or checking the specific gravity using a urine test strip.

Genurine is an Alternative to:

1. As far as we are aware, there are no alternative tests capable of confirming whether a sample is real urine and not fake / synthetic urine

The Genurine™ induces the precipitation of urine components that are inherent to fresh urine samples. As such, this reagent is capable of identifying synthetic and dehydrated real urine as 'fake urine'. The unique urine components acted upon by the Genurine™ are maintained as trade secrets to prevent modifications to fake urine products aimed at circumventing this test. Our team continuously tests new fake urine products on the market to ensure that the Genurine™ is capable of identifying them.

In such a scenario, Entopsis will re-test the Lot in question using remaining reagent at our facility at our expense (purchaser does not need to ship product to Entopsis). If the re-tested Lot fails to meet our performance criteria, Entopsis will replace the faulty reagent free of charge or refund the purchase price.

Please keep in mind that purchasers may use Genurine™ for unlisted applications, that are untested and thereby may not work as desired. The purchaser must determine the suitability of Genurine™ for its particular use. However, the Entopsis scientific team can assist in the optimization of Genurine™ for your desired application. Refunds will not be provided due to a lack of product compatibility with purchaser's alternative application.
